Preparation and Medication
Once a sedation plan is in place, the next step involves preparing for your dental procedure. Depending on the type of sedation you choose, you may be instructed to fast for a certain period before your appointment. On the day of the procedure, you'll be administered the sedation medication, which could be in the form of oral pills, nitrous oxide, or intravenous (IV) sedation.
